Survived by five daughters, Maggie Singleton, Vera Brookshire, Beatrice Blanchard, Alberta Shields, and Lucy Campbell of Hampton, VA; two sons, James Roy, Jr., and Leon Walker of Hampton, VA; six sisters, Mable Brown of Petersburg, Delphine McGhee of Boston, MA; Josephine Rawles, Leona Gunn and Ruth Hin-ton of New York City, NY; and Lea Gary of Bronx, NY; three brothers, Eddie Clements of Seaboard, NC; Albert Hughes of Hampton, VA; and Parcel Hughes of Capital Heights, MD; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church, Lincoln Park, VA.

Assemble at 8 Brentwood Drive by 10 a.m.
Burial in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
