Melanie Danette Grew, 59, formerly of Somerset, PA, died April 13, 2023, in Del Ray, FL. Born October 21, 1963 in Meyersdale, beloved daughter of Joseph and Faye (Martz) Grew.
Survived by sister Kristine Grew-Longwell (Eric), Shelocta, Pa.; Brother Charles Grew (Lynne), Mechanicsburg, PA. Nieces and Nephew Berea Longwell, Anna Longwell, Amber Grew, and Nathan Grew.
Melanie was a 1981 graduate of Somerset High School, and a 1985 graduate from California University of Pennsylvania where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. She was a 38 year employee of Publix Supermarkets near her condominium in Coral Springs, FL and member of her local Bunco and Kiwanis Clubs. Melanie loved cats and most recently enjoyed her cats Ernie and Bentley who she nicknamed "My Boys".
The family would like to thank her many friends including Kathy, Elaine, Linda, Nancy, Christine, Kerrie, Penny, and Jodi.
