Son of John Forman Ricketts and Evalina (Vail) Ricketts.
Married Claire Frances Hopkins 30/Aug/1926 at Jonesboro, IL.
He had attended the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, MD. During World War II was instructor with the Army Air Force in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
He had been a principal, coach and teacher at Lutesville and Potosi. Later going into partnershop with C.F. Hopkins; and in 1950 began Ricketts Lumber and Building Supplies.
Member of Lutesville Presbyterian Church; he was an elder and deacon.
Member of the Woodland School Board of Education; past member of Chamber of Commerce; scoutmaster of the Boy Scout Troop in Bollinger County; and charter member of Twin City Rotary Club.
