Resided Guilderland, New York; enlisted July 28, 1862, at age 32; mustered in on August 18, 1862, as a private with Battery D, 7th New York Heavy Artillery; captured at Cold Harbor, VA, June 3, 1864 and paroled December 11, 1864, at Charleston, SC; mustered out June 16, 1865, at Baltimore, MD.
Died at U.S. Home for Disabled Veterans. Age 68 at death, Single, admission date October 15, 1898. He was disabled from the war, blind in left eye, and had broken nose and injured right knee.
