LaVerna Ada Graham was a daughter of John Wesley Graham and Missouri Ann Dawson Graham.

LaVerna Ada Graham married Matthew Alexander Painter on September 22, 1887 in Peter's Gap, Coryell, Texas. They married, again, in the Cherokee Nation, Delaware District in Oklahoma Indian Territory on August 19, 1888 in order to meet the Cherokee marriage requirements. LaVerna Ada Graham was 1/32 Cherokee. They had seven children.

LaVerna Ada Graham Painter was my great-grandmother.
