Barbara Anderson, 88, of Monroe, Washington passed away peacefully on April 5, 2023 at Regency Care Center in Monroe, Washington. Born in Idaho, her family soon settled in Monroe, Washington.
Her father, Charles Andrews, had a large machine shop in Monroe. Barbara grew up in town and led a very active life. She was involved in many school activities and had a part time job while in high school. She married her high school sweetheart, Lowell Anderson, they soon started a family of their own on a small cattle ranch near the town of Monroe.

Barbara was an excellent cook. She was very talented artistically, and excelled in drawing, painting, pottery, sculpting, candle making, and other arts and crafts projects. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and talented steelhead fisherperson. In addition to taking care of the family and other farm activities, she drove a school bus for the Monroe School District and later sold real estate in the Monroe area.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Cappie Andrews, sisters Darlene Whitfield and Geraldine Keeton and her faithful, loving husband, Lowell Anderson.
She is survived by their three children, Linda, Jim and Mike; four grandchildren, Kristina, Jacob and Ben, Travis (and Stef ) along with two great-grandchildren, Mason and Dash.

Barbara's loving, caring sprit will be forever missed.

There will be a private family graveside gathering at a date to be determined.
