Don A. Carlberg passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Memorial Medical in Modesto, CA. He was 88 years old.

Don was born in Turlock, CA on October 23, 1934 to Arvid and Gladyse Carlberg. He spent his early years in Turlock and graduated from Turlock High School in 1953. He married the love of his life, Joyce Carlberg, on August 3, 1956 in Hughson, CA. He lived a majority of his life in Turlock, CA. He also lived in Oakland, CA while serving in the Army, during the Korean War.

Don worked for International Paper Co. as a sales service manager for many years until his retirement in 1993. In his spare time, he loved golfing, traveling, and enjoying time with his family. He was a member of Turlock Golf & Country Club and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Carlberg; his mother, Gladyse Carlberg; his father, Arvid Carlberg; and his sisters, Darlene Brock and Beverly Ford. He is survived by his son, Scott Carlberg; his daughter, Kristi (Sam) Broman; his granddaughter, Alex Broman; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 20 at Turlock Funeral Home. Following the funeral service, Don will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park.
