Mildred B. McKinney, age 85, went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. She was a resident of Springfield, LA. Mildred was a dedicated member of Woodland Baptist Church where she spent many Sunday's teaching Sunday School. She absolutely adored her family, especially the ones that called her Maw. Mildred was most happy cooking big meals and having all of her family over to visit. She was truly a loving wife, wonderful mother, and the best Maw anyone could have. Mildred will be forever missed.
She is survived by her sons, Joey McKinney Jr. (Treva), Gary McKinney Sr. (Cheryl); daughter, Donna Dykes; sisters, Elizabeth Hudson, Ernestine Westmoreland, Patsy Patterson (Tommy), Sheila McCustian; brothers, David Bell (Darlene), Gene Bell; grandchildren, Angel Chatellier (Jason), Buddy McKinney Jr. (Elizabeth), Eric Lawson (Melvina), Jennifer Hebert (TJ), Danielle Graziano (Michael), Jennifer Elzey (Charles), Natalie Dykes, Carrie Ann Durbin (Ross), Jake Kirkland Jr., Jeffery D. Kirkland (Heather), Joshua Kirkland (Christie); and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Frazier and Joseph Cecil McKinney Sr.; daughter, Darlene Kirkland; parents, James and Inez Bell; brothers, James Bell, Lawrence Bell; and son-in-law, Jerry Dykes.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Woodland Baptist Church on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Andy Stafford will officiate with interment to follow in McKinney Family Cemetery.
