Charles Adron "Jake" Blizzard

CURRIE, N.C. - Charles Adron "Jake" Blizzard, 81, died Monday at Huntington Health Care in North Carolina.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Currie, with the Rev. Charles Flynn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Blizzard was born June 4, 1912, in Pender County, a son of the late Charles A. Blizzard and Viola Pridgen. He was married to Catherine Woodcock Blizzard.
Survivors include his widow of Burgaw, N.C. two daughters, Mrs. Millard (Becky) Murray of Burgaw and Mrs. Al (Susan) Goodwin of Rowesville, S.C.; a son, E. Lyn Blizzard of Wilmington , N.C; two sisters, Elizabeth Carter and Catherine Keith, both of Burgaw; three granddaughters; and a grandson.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home of Burgaw. Friends may call at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Becky Murray and Millard Murray, Whitestocking Road, Burgaw.
