Geraldine L. LaVoy, age 94 years of Temperance, MI, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in the Mercy Memorial Nursing Care Center, Monroe, MI. Born Oct, 18, 1912 in Bedford Twp., Michigan, she was the daughter of Burton and Bessie (Hitchcock) Blouch. A 1931 graduate from Temperance High School , she married Carl LaVoy on May 19, 1934 in Temperance, MI. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1984. Geraldine was a clerk for Crary Drug Store in Temperance, MI for 30 years, retiring 1992. She attended Lambertville United Methodist Church and enjoyed needle point.
Surviving are her loving son, Philip LaVoy of Temperance, MI. Daughter in law, Norma LaVoy of Erie, MI. 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harland Blouch.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Sunday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 am. Rev. Thomas Zimmerman, pastor of Lambertville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH. Memorials may be made to the Monroe County Humane Society.
