BAIN, Edward A. "Bud" - Age 72, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, February 23, 1998 at the residence. Funeral services will be held 1:30PM Thursday, February 26, 1998 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9PM Tuesday and 2-9PM on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the family fund. Mr. Bain was born in Mt. Morris, MI on March 4, 1925, the son of James M. and Maude Pearl (Sly) Bain. He had been a resident of Frostproof, FL for 18 years and Swartz Creek the past 3 months. Mr. Bain was a Navy Veteran. He married Sylvia Irene Bostater on December 6, 1947 in Flint, MI. They had nine children; Sylvia passed away in 1967. He then married Shirley Ann Smith-Tacey on July 11, 1970 in North Carolina and inherited eight more children. He was employed as a truck driver, retiring from B & M Cartage, moving to Frostproof, FL with his wife in 1989. They recently moved back to Michigan to be with their children. Bud was a loving father and grandfather to all of his children and grandchildren. Surviving are: wife, Shirley Bain; 17 children, James Bain, Bonnie Paladino and husband Mike, Daniel Bain and wife Jill, Connie Adams and husband Ron, Jeannie Brooks and husband Ron, Ronald Bain and wife Tammy, Johnice Bain-Rueda, William Bain, Ray Bain, Boyd Tacey and wife Gail, Connie Tacey, Randy Tacey, James Tacey and wife Brenda, Robin Brown and husband Gordon, Dawn June and husband Terry, Kelly Jones and husband Jack, Michael Tacey and wife Irene; 39 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Johnston and husband Bill. Bud was also blessed with many other relatives and friends.
