Courier News April 10, 2023

Middlesex, NJ – Anne L. (Di Matteo) Ciaccio, 82, passed away Good Friday, April 7, 2023 surrounded by her five children and her brother and sister-in-law at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to the late Patsy and Carmella (Fornino) Di Matteo, Anne and her entire family moved to Middlesex in 1969, where she resided the next fifty-four years raising her family.

Anne lived each day full of love for her family, friends and Faith; a devout catholic who started her day praying the rosary and attending or watching daily mass.

Anne's career started in the Middlesex Borough School System and then moved into a management position with Shepard's Department Store and Cindy J's Clothing Store. She retired from Pharmagistics in 2006 and spent the rest of her years enjoying her family.

Anne's true passion in life was her family; a role model, mentor, shoulder to cry on, someone to share a laugh with, advice given and a best friend who unconditionally loved and was loved each and every day. She was loved by many, respected by all and was willing to help however and whenever she could.

Predeceased by her parents, sister Jean and her husband John in 2020, Anne leaves behind her loving and supportive family; brother John and his wife Annie of Piscataway, daughter Jodi Gordon of Middlesex, sons; John of Upper Black Eddy, PA, Patrick of Wesley Chapel, FL, Darrin of Westfield and Greg of Tampa, FL, son-in-law Eric and daughters-in-law; Colleen, Angelina and Jackie.

Anne will also be missed by her nine grandchildren; Melissa (Dan,) Danny, Gia, Christina (Kevin,) Ally, Kyle, Anastacia, Justin and Jeremey as well as her adoring great-grandchildren; Jack, Nicholas, Sylas and soon to be Ryan, brother-in-law Ronald and life-long friends; Phylis and Joe along with many special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 from 4pm-8pm and on Friday, April 14, 2023 beginning 10:00am.

Funeral services will begin 10:30am in the funeral home on Friday, April 14, 2023 followed by an 11:00am funeral mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex. Committal prayers will be held in the chapel of Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations sent in Anne's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) would be appreciated.
