Mrs. Gilbert Travis
Elkhorn—Mrs. Gilbert Travis, 79, a resident of Elkhorn all of her life except for the last three years, died in Milwaukee hospital at 2:15 p. m. Tuesday.
Clara Bresse, the daughter of Sherman and Maryann Bresse, was born in Elkhorn. At the age of 18 years, she was married to John Casselman. She was married to Gilbert Travis in Elkhorn May 14, 1932, and lived here until his death three years ago at which time she moved to Milwaukee to live with a daughter.
She was a member of the Baptist church in Elkhorn.
One sister, and children of her first marriage survive. The survivors are her daughters, Mrs. Florence Maenner, Houston, Tex., Mrs. Minnie Parsons, Palmyra, and Mrs. Bessie Morgan, Milwaukee; sons, Roy Casselman, Altadena, Calif., and Ray Casselman, Elkhorn, and a sister, Mrs. Lena Nolan, Chicago. Two daughters, Mabel and Lottie Casselman, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held in the Reed funeral home here at 2 p. m. Thursday, the Rev. Robert Nicholls of the Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in Dunbar cemetery in Geneva township.
