Susan E. Langstaff, 69, of Findlay, passed away on April 9, 2023 at the Manor at Greendale. Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, Findlay, is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born on June 8, 1953, in Findlay, Ohio, to Francis G. (Joe) and Frances E. Weitz. She married the love of her life, Jack E. Langstaff, on June 30, 1972.

She is survived by her husband, daughter F. Emily Langstaff, and son Nathaniel E. Langstaff; sister, Pamela McMenamin; brother-in-law, Dennis McMenamin, along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers William J. Weitz and David A. Weitz; and sister Barbara J. Risser.

Susan was a graduate of Findlay High School in 1971 and State Beauty Academy, Findlay, in 1972. She went on to teach at Millstream East Career Center for many years until she founded the Artisan College of Cosmetology in 2007 with her husband. She enjoyed gardening, visiting North Carolina, and caring for her children and all of her pets. Her big heart and love she gave freely to the world will be deeply missed. A favorite passage of hers is from Sarah Young's "Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence"

"Trust Me in the midst of a messy day. Your inner calm--your Peace in My Presence--need not be shaken by what is going on around you. Though you live in this temporal world, your innermost being is rooted and grounded in eternity. When you start to feel stressed, detach yourself from the disturbances around you. Instead of desperately striving to maintain order and control in your little world, relax and remember that circumstances cannot touch My Peace.

Seek My Face, and I will share My mind with you, opening your eyes to see things from My perspective. Do not let your heart be troubled, and do not be afraid. The Peace I give is sufficient for you."

A private service will be held for the family at Maple Grove Cemetery conducted by Pastor Doris Mars from St. John's Lutheran Church.

Memorials can be made to the City Mission of Findlay.
