Jesse B. French, 68, of Gilbert, died at a Monroe hospital early Wednesday evening.
Mr. French had no known relatives.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Oakley Cemetery, near Gilbert, with the Baptist and Methodist ministers of Gilbert officiating.
Burial followed in the Oakley Cemetery, with the Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro in charge.
