Kristine Marie Forbes 41, of Malden, Mass., formerly of Two Harbors, died Sunday March 9, 2008 at her home. She was born Sept. 1, 1966 to Neil and Kay (Erickson) McGiverin in Two Harbors, where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1984. Kris moved to Boston and graduated cum laude from Boston University in 1988 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Marketing. She owned and operated Cambridge Graphics for 18 years, and since 2006 worked as the creative marketing director for Medical Records Institute and was awarded a 'Clio' for her graphic arts advertising. Kris had a passion for horseback riding and was an accomplished English Rider. She also enjoyed downhill skiing, all animals, gardening, and she designed and built five homes. As a youth she was a member of the United Church in Two Harbors, where she taught Sunday School. Kristine is survived by her parents, Neil and Kay McGiverin of Two Harbors; fiance, Daniel Blake; daughters, Autumn Jordan of Boxford, Mass., and Sierra Forbes of New Hope, Penn., brother, Todd (Heidi Bode) McGiverin of Boise, Idaho; sister, Kimberly (John) Pearson of River Falls, Wis.; niece and nephews, Paige, Alexander, Tyler, Zachary, and Colin; aunts and uncles, Marge and Gerald Smith of Winton, Minn., Wilfred and Kay McGiverin of Tacoma, Wash., Paul and Irene Erickson, Dean and Pam Croft and Sandra and Jerry Hostetter all of Two Harbors, and many cousins. VISITATION:6 to 8 p.m. Friday March 14, 2008 in Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15 in the United Church. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Two Harbors.
