EDWARDS, Deacon Willie, a resident of 2819 4th Street (GWP) died in a local hospital Monday morning, July 11, 1977. He was a deacon of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Rev. L. H. Hamilton, pastor. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Howard & Howard Funeral Service. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Willie Mae Edwards, Montgomery; six daughters, Mrs. Reather Cross and Mrs. Edna Albright, Ohio, Mrs. Vada Smith, Montgomery, Mrs. Lula Hayes and Mrs. Louise Cottrell, Los Angles, Cal., and Mrs. Rosa Duncan, New York; two sons, George and Wash Edwards; five sisters, Mrs. Ozell Bush, Mrs. Annie Kate Edwards, Mrs. Josephine Mauldin, Mrs. Alice Wilson, Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Mary Moton, Ohio; two brothers, Frank Edwards, Prattville, and Willie Joe Edwards, Detroit, Mich., nine sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law; one uncle, M. D. Edwards, Lowndes Co., 35 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
