Jeweldean "Jean" Smith, age 90, of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Friday April 7, 2023, at Three Care Home in Hot Springs. She was born on July 14, 1932, in Amity, the daughter of the late Jewell and Thelma Ashworth Frazier. Jean was a 1950 graduate of Okolona High School. She owned and operated Underground Construction Company Inc along with her husband for many years. Jean was a member of Third Street Baptist Church and the O.E.S. of Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl Smith, three brothers, Buddy Frazier, John Frazier and Bill Frazier and one granddaughter, Laura Michelle Smith.

Jean is survived by two sons, Ronnie Smith and his wife Stacy of Morganton, GA, and Stanley Smith and his wife Beth of Hot Springs, AR, one sister, Edna Welchman and her husband Bobby of Hot Springs, four grandchildren, Andrea Marrero of Griffin, GA, Amy Tankersley of Texarkana, TX, Quade Smith of Hot Springs, AR, and John Nix of Hot Springs, AR, ten great grandchildren, Harrison Marrero, Bennett Marrero, Emmaline Marrero, Adelle Marrero, Issa Marrero, Jolie Mascoe, Landry Mascoe, Logan Mascoe, Jack Tankersley, and Lee Bryant Smith.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday April 12, 2023, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Bro. Greg Lathem officiating.

Visitation is from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Welch Funeral Home on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Third Street Baptist Church P.O. Box 763 Arkadelphia AR 71923, Group Living Inc P.O. Box 159 Arkadelphia AR 71923, Arkansas Hospice 508 Ouachita Ave, Suite A Hot Springs AR 71901.
