Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Arkansas City. Dr. Richard Nelson and the Reverend Wade Graber will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Arkansas City. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at the funeral home.
Elizabeth was born February 12, 1922 to Earl F. Burrell and Mary Elizabeth (Miller) Burrell in Dexter, KS. She graduated from the Arkansas City High School in 1940 and continued her education at Wichita Business College.
She married H. Wayne Rector on July 27, 1941 in Arkansas City where the couple has made their home since. Elizabeth was a riveter during World War II at Boeing in Wichita. She was also a homemaker and the financial secretary at First Baptist Church for over 20 years. Elizabeth was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, H. Wayne Rector of the home; two daughters, Judy L. Jones and her husband, Jack of East Moriches, NY, Peggy S. Good and her husband, J.D. of Arkansas City; grandchildren, Lisa Koliski, Jason Jones both of Mastic, NY, Jackie Jones of East Moriches, NY, Robert T. Proctor and Jonathan R. Proctor both of Arkansas City, Sherian K. Jarvis of Tulsa, OK and Kelli T. Good of Brooklyn, NY and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers and sisters.
