Chillicothe, IL - Robert J. "Bob" Lancaster-Hugel, 77, of Chillicothe passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, February 27, 2023.
He was born in Peoria on June 16, 1945, a son of John and Bertha (Bergman) Hugel. Bob and Bryan Misner were together for 45 years and married in October of 2017. He survives. He is also survived by his niece, Jill (Dean) Litherland of Tremont; two nephews, Jack (Sue) Caldwell of Germantown Hills and Jerry Caldwell of Peoria; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and many dear friends.
Bob and Bryan owned several night clubs in the Peoria and Chillicothe area before retiring. The Levee Bar in Chillicothe was the original bar that hosted the annual Polar Bear Jump every New Year's Day. Bob was also a co-owner of Spurs Bar in Sparland and Washington.
He was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and attended several games over the years.
Bob's family has arranged a celebration of life service to take place at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the VFW Post #4999, 1729 N. Santa Fe Avenue, Chillicothe, IL 61523.
Cremation has been entrusted to Schmidt-Haller Burial & Cremation Services in Peoria.
