Amelia Beicher (aka Biecher) was the daughter of William Beicher Sr. and Susanna Meily of Lebanon. She first married a German immigrant in 1862: Oscar Franz Flemming (1839-1869) and they had four children: Martha Ellen (1863), David Oscar Flemming (1865-1949), Frederick Crecelius Flemming (1868) and William Thomas Flemming (1868). When her husband died at age 29, her son David was assigned a court-appointed guardian: Lewis Neudoerffer. (If you know details for the other children please submit a Suggestion.) In 1871 Amelia then married Thomas Welsh Frescoln (1832-1889), a widower with 3 children by his first wife Elizabeth Fry (1833-1865).

Following a short illness, Amelia, widow of Thomas W. Frescoln, died of pneumonia at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at her home, 320 Church street, aged 77 years and 11 months. She was bedfast since Friday, March 4. A native of Lebanon, where she spent her earlier years, Mrs. Frescoln came to this city 50 years ago. Her parents were the late William and Susan Biecher. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Mrs. Frescoln was twice married, her first husband, Oscar Flemming, having died 47 years ago. Her second husband passed away a number of years ago. Surviving are a son, David O. Flemming, of this city, two grandchildren, and one brother, George Biecher, of Marion, O.
