Donald Boles was born in Pampa, TX to Melvin Luther Boles and Dorothy Ethyl Polk Boles. He was born in a tent. Five days after his birth the first dust storm hit Texas. The family later moved to Fox, Oklahoma. In 1942 his father died and the family moved to Oklahoma City. He attended Capital Hill High School. In 1950 he enlisted in the US Navy. He served in Boston, MA. In 1953 he married Teddie Jayne Richey. They had 3 children: Linda, Pamela, and James. Dad earned his Bachelor's degree from Long Beach State (accounting). He worked many years as a Financial Anaylist for TRW, Inc. in Redondo Beach. In the late 1970's he decided to go into business for himself and was an Owner-Operator for a national trucking corporation. Hobbies included camping, reading, being a hamm radio operator, and working in his shop. After retirement Don and Jayne moved to Washington state where Don died of cancer.
