Janice L. Pedersen, 80, Kerrick, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 23, 2021 at her home. She was born on March 24, 1941 to Rollo and Jean Dimmers. Janice grew up in White Bear Lake where she attended school. On December 9, 1961, Janice married Neil Pedersen in White Bear Lake. They lived in St. Paul where she raised her children and she worked at Maplewood Care Center for over 30 years. Janice also did home care for individuals through the years. In 2015, Janice moved to Kerrick. She truly loved the beauty of Oak Lake and living up north where her and Neil had spent time on land that they had purchased in the 1970's. Janice was a member of Oak Lake Lutheran Church. She loved gardening, collecting pink flamingos, shopping on QVC, being crafty, creating change with projects in her house, and most of all being with her family. Janice was the founder of the "Tuesday Night Gang" which consisted of her and her grandchildren. Every Tuesday they would go over to Grandma's, go out to eat and create many projects together as they bonded. Janice will always be remembered for being compassionate, loving, and an awesome Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma. Even with awesome personality, Janice could be strong willed and was known for being a "force to reckoned with"!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil in 1985; grandson: Mikie Pedersen in 2018; great granddaughter: Lucie Knack; and two brothers: Robert "Bob" Dimmers and Rollo E. Dimmers, .
Janice will be lovingly remembered by her five children: Micheal Pedersen, Deb Busse, Patricia (Mike) Pedersen, Jeffery Pedersen, and Skip Pedersen; special adopted daughter: Cheryl Ashmore; 11 grandchildren: Angela, Jenna, Alyssa, Neil, Sam, Travis, Nate, Ashley, Dylan, Mekenzie, and Madisen; 12 great grandchildren: Alex, Aaron, Devyn, Braxton, Bentley, Ryder, Braelynn, Xavier, Colt, Jace, Alexis, and Michael; a brother: James Wilcox Dimers, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her two Pomeranians, Cheko and Markie.
Services will be planned in the future with inurnment in Oak Lake Community Cemetery, Kerrick.
