Ivan R Greenfield, age 89 formerly of West Alexandria and Brookville OH. died Thurs. Feb. 22, 2001 in Plainwell Pines Nursing Center Plainwell MI. where he had resided for the last several months. He was born in Bantry ND. on Dec. 1 1911 the son of Harry and Lenore (Matz)) Greenfield. After the death of his mother in 1918 he moved his family to Camden OH where he grew up until his marriage to Mildred L. House in 1938. They moved to West Alexandria at that time. Prior to his retirement in 1971 Ivan worked for over 30 yrs. as a machinist at the Frigidaire Div. of General Motors in Dayton OH. In 1996 he moved to Michigan to reside near his son and his family. Ivan enjoyed life and had many hobbies including antique collecting woodworking refinishing furniture reading travelling fishing and visiting friends and family. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was past master and lifetime member of King Hiram Masonic Lodge #88 F & AM in West Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mildred (House) Greenfield in 1953 by his second wife Freda (Rhoads) Greenfield in 1998 and by a sister Eugenia Flint.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law John C. and Liga M. Greenfield Richland MI and grandsons John and Mark Greenfield of Richland MI; a daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Lynn Wise Duluth GA. 2 grandsons Jeffrey S. Lorton San Francisco CA. Jon A. Lorton and his wife Vickie and their children Kevin Kelly and Janelle Lorton all of Bloomington MN. And several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Somerville Cemetery Somerville OH.
