She was born Oct. 24, 1925 in East Helena to John D. "Jack" and Sarah Louise (Duffy) Reardon. Patty's mother died when she was a young child. She was raised by Jack and Pat Reardon.
Ann received her education in Helena and was a graduate from Helena High School. Ann and Thomas A. Kokoruda were married at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church Feb. 18, 1950. She worked at various jobs throughout her life including 25 years at Heritage IGA in East Helena.
Ann was an active member of SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church and also a member of the V.F.W. 10010 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Kokoruda; sister, Dee Dee Gruber; and brother, Dan Reardon. She is survived by her children, Mike (Christy) Kokoruda of Milwaukee, Ore., Karen (Whitey) Van Swearingen of East Helena, Susan Bomar of East Helena; six grandchildren, John Van Swearingen of San Clemente, Calif., Jami Van Swearingen of Phoenix, Lyndsie, T.J. and Kyle Bomar all of East Helena, Richard Van Swearingen of Albuquerque, N.M.; and one great grandson, Richie Van Swearingen of East Helena. Ann was also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Irene Reardon of Santa Paula, Calif.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mickey and Ed Prebil of East Helena, Ardis Kokoruda of East Helena, Gerry and Lester Sodja of Mesa, Ariz., Beverly "Pudgie" and Ed Finstad of East Helena, Colleen and Ed Marks of Missoula; brother-in-law, Charles Kokoruda of East Helena; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment will follow at St. Ann's Cemetery.
