Angela Marie Offenbacker, 43, Independence, Kansas passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Labette Health in Independence, Kansas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory with burial to follow in Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo, Kansas. The family will greet visitors on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory.

Angela was born October 2, 1979, In Chanute, Kansas to Layne and Vickie (Stuart) Offenbacker. Angela was raised in rural Chanute, Kansas by Edward and Thelma Offenbacker on the family farm. Angela attended and graduated from Chanute High School in 1998. During her high school years, Angela participated in Special Olympics, Bowling, Track and Field, and Volley Ball, receiving first place medals in Bowling, Running and Shot Put, and she received a second place medal in Volley Ball. Angela enjoyed spending time outside, listing to music, singing, making flower bouquets, playing with the animals at her current home, star gazing and taking cruises with her host family.

Angela was employed by Auto Mate in Chanute, Kansas in parts processing then she was employed by Class LTD where she attended until her passing.

Angela was preceded in death by her grandparents, and her father. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother Vickie of Chanute, Kansas; three brothers, Layne Offenbacker, Independence, Kansas; Walt Offenbacker, Indpendence, Kansas; Kim Offenbacker, Independence, Kansas; two sisters, Allison and husband Aaron Hollenbacker, Independence, Kansas; Polly Offenbacker, Pratt, Kansas; two nephews, Andrew Offenbacker, Independence, Kansas; Aaron Hollenbeck, Jr; Independence, Kansas; one niece, Emily Hollenbeck, Olathe, Kansas; Special friends and Guardian Madlyn Crawford, Independence, Kansas; and host family Dorothy, Dennis, Madison and Angel Patry, Independence, Kansas. And Angela's horse named Angela's Horsey.
