Rae Carl Brodnax, age 77 died last night
at 11:50 at Morehouse General Hospital following an illness of about two weeks.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at Farrar's Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. with the Reverend Dan Webb officiating, assisted by the Reverend Bobby Dye. Burial will follow in Bartholomew Cemetery.

Mr. Brodnax was born in 1899 in Gallion, and was a lifelong resident of Morehouse Parish. He was a retired Morehouse Parish School Board employee.

Survivors include one son, Carl Brodnax of Bastrop, a daughter, Mrs. Larry Goyne of Crossett, three step-daughters Mrs. Claudia Winkler and Mrs. Ivie Yeldell, both of Bastrop and Mrs. Myrtle smith of Swartz, a stepson,
E.H. Hughes of Bastrop, and three grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gene Dye, Dennis Kyle, John Brodnax, Max Brodnax II, Rickey Dew and Richard Edwards.
