He retired from General Shale Brick Company as a supervisor, after 45 years. He was a member of River of Life Church in West Point, Kentucky. Above all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bernard and Richard Ray; and his sisters, Barbara Logsdon, Lisa French, and Vivian Gordon.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ray; children, Gary Ray (Barbara), Sandra Mosby (Ron), and Tammy Likes (Tony); sister, Martha Gaddie (Sam); grandchildren, Joshua Ray, Anthony Ray, Jason Koch, and Derek Sturgeon; great-grandchildren, Hayden Sturgeon, Gracie Ray, Alexis Koch, Carlie Ray, Jaxon Sturgeon, Abby Ray, and Davis Ray.
His funeral visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 2-8:00PM. His funeral will be on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 11:00 AM, with a burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery.
