Mary Ann Niedermeier, age 73, of Temperance, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at the Windhaven Elder Care Center. She was born in Monroe, MI on August 17, 1933, to Edward and H. Elizabeth (Seal) Van Slambrouck. Mary Ann was a proud homemaker who devoted countless volunteer hours at her children's school and her church. She was a great "Room Mom" and library aide at St. Clement School in West Toledo, and also found time to play in golf and bowling leagues. She loved a good card game, and took great pride in her flower garden. On June 26, 1954, she and Norman Niedermeier were married at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Monroe, MI. Long-time members of St. Clement Catholic Church, Mary Ann participated in the parish's "Renew" program. A devoted wife and mother, she took special joy in her 16 grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 52 years, Norman, Mary Ann is survived by daughters, Pam (Lary) Edgell of Toledo and Kristie (Tim) Kronbach, of Sylvania; sons, Norman "Chip" Niedermeier Jr., of Temperance, Ken Niedermeier of St. Petersburg, FL and Keith (Michelle) Niedermeier of Philadelphia, PA; brothers, Edward V. (Diane) Van Slambrouck, Dr. Paul (Sally) Van Slambrouck and grandchildren, Bobby, David, and Hallie Edgell; Jennifer, Karrie, Erin, Timmy, Jill, Kevin and Sarah Kronbach; Bricen, Taylor, Cassidy and Madison Niedermeier and Andy and Brian Niedermeier. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. in the Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 East Alexis Rd., where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin Wednesday morning at 9:15 in the funeral home, and continue with the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Road.
