Willie Laura Jamison was born October 12, 1916 in Stephensville, TX, to William and Mattie Bullard. To her immediate family, Willie was affectionately nicknamed "Mikey" and known as Mimi to her grandchildren. Willie loved the outdoors and especially fishing. She and Wilburn made many fishing stops while traveling in their motor home. She spent many hours planting a garden and maintaining her yard that was always full of beautiful flowers. She was also an avid reader and many times she had plans to clean the garage and would find a book she had not read and one of the children would find her in the garage reading that book. After her husband's death in 1988, Willie became a regular traveler with the Bryan County Road Runners of Durant, OK. Her favorite charity was the Cancer Fund and she served as chairman of the annual cancer drive in her community for many years. Willie was a longtime member of Soldier Creek Baptist Church. Her late husband, Wilburn, was an ordained deacon of their church and both served faithfully for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 3 brothers and her husband. She is survived by children, Jean and Dr. Cal H Jamison.
