Son of Charles Grigsby and Martha Wallace, husband of Margaret Houston. They ran the ferry from present day Marcella to O'Neal, Independence County. After he died, his son Charles Grigsby whose home sits on Lyon College Campus, ran the ferry. It was originally owned by the Hess brothers. Then the Grigsby's bought it and ran it until the train came in and the area became known as O'Neal for one of the conductors on the train.
