Chris was born on August 5, 1960 in Tuscola, Illinois to Sammie and Lura (Ferrell) Eads. He married Joanne Arseneau on July 12, 2002 in Panama City, Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Joanne Eads; one son, Danny (Chelsea) Eads; three step children, Eric (Andrea) Galloway, Jennifer (BJ) Cannon and Jacob (Renda) Galloway; seven grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; six siblings, Sam (Jean) Eads, James (Marybeth) Eads, Jerry Eads, Wanda Brown, Peggy (Dan) Wieland and Cathy Eads and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sammie and Lura Eads; one brother, Clark Eads; one sister-in-law, Carla Eads and one nephew, Jason Eads.
Chris served in the military for 26 years before his retirement. He enjoyed working in the yard, playing cards with his friends and family, helping others, and most of all, spending time with his family.
A celebration of Chris's life will be held at a later date.Champaign
