The third child born to John and Elizabeth O'Brian-Henn, Owen spent his entire life in Burnside Township. He married Myrtle Wilcox on Sept. 2, 1901 in Romeo, Oakland County with the Rev. J. A. Young presiding. Eight children were born of the marriage.

Owen J, Henn, 83, Burnside Twp. Farmer and lifelong resident, died Thursday morning in Marlette Hospital after a short illness. He was born Nov. 14, 1878 in Burnside Twp., son of John and Elizabeth Henn. He attended the Burnside School and was the leader of the Burnside Cornet Band. On Sept. 3, 1901, he married Myrtle Wilcox in Burnside Twp. She died Nov 5, 1953. Mr. Henn held a teachers certificate, He served as Burnside Township Clerk for 10 years and justice of the peace. He attended the Brown City Baptist Church. Surviving are four sons, Ervin Henn, of Brown City: Lowell Henn, of Denton, Texas; Carl Henn, of Dayton Ohio; and Frank Henn of Brown City three daughters Mrs. Hazel McArthur of Brown City; Mrs. Levi Sutton, of Cadillac; and Mrs. Jay Robson of brown City; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday in the Carman Funeral Home, the Rev. Erwin W. Gram, pastor of Brown City Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Burnside Twp. Cemetery.
