John Henry Feaster was born on March 15, 1836, in Jefferson, Frederick County, Maryland.

He married Joanna Virginia Culler on December 12, 1863, in Frederick, Maryland.

He died on November 27, 1906, in his hometown, at the age of 70, and was buried there.

Mr. John Feaster, a well known and highly respected resident of Jefferson, died suddenly at his home in that place at 3:50 o'clock this morning of neuralgia of the heart, aged 70 years, 8 months and 12 days. Mr. Feaster was in his usual good health yesterday and worked on the trolley extension of the Jefferson and Braddock Railway Company, and the announcement of his sudden demise was a shock to the community. He is survived by a widow, but no children. He is also survived by one sister, Miss Eva Ann Feaster, of Jefferson. His funeral will take place on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Services will be held in the Lutheran church at Jefferson and interment made in the adjoining cemetery. M. R. Etchison has charge of the funeral arrangements.
