Roy was engaged in farming for forty five years. He raised hay, grain and potatoes on his 375 acre ranch on the Lost River in the Bonanza area. He and his son Jerry purchased the Henley Ranch from his mother in 1974.

Funeral services for Roy Thomas Whitlatch will be held from the chapel of Ward's Klamath Funeral Home, 1945 Main Street, on Friday, November 15, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. A private family interment will follow at Mt. Laki Cemetery.
Mr. Whitlatch, 89, died at his residence in Klamath Falls, OR on Tuesday, November 12, 2002. He is survived by his son, Jerry Whitlatch, Junction City, OR; grandchildren, Tony Whitlatch and his wife, Melody, Klamath Falls; Thomas Brown and his wife, Honoree, Junction City; a brother, Paul Whitlatch and his wife, Barbara; and nephews, Bill and Dave Whitlatch, all of Klamath Falls. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Anne; his second wife, Dorothy; a son, Richard; a brother, Gerold; and his parents, William V. and Thelma E. (Sprenger) Whitlatch. Ward's Klamath Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
