Jim, of Florein, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport.
Born in Newton he had lived on the Louisiana side of Toledo Bend Lake for the past twenty five plus years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force; was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and had retired from Bellsouth Telephone after thirty years.
Survivors include his daughter, Sheila Weldon, his son, Bluford Carol Ferguson, his sister, Ether Mae Gooch, grandchildren, Miki, Josie, David Wayne, Christina, Amanda and Jeremy, fifteen great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
