BAY — Flora Lee Elizabeth Hampton of Bay died Thursday morning, March 6, 2008 at her home.
She had lived at Bay since 1991, moving there from Jonesboro. She was a homemaker and a member of Nettleton Church of Christ. She loved to pass her time reading the Bible and making Bible markers.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Wanda Hampton, Ray Allen Sr. and Sharron Hampton, all of Bay; daughter and son-in-law, Wava and Ed Woods of Ethel, Miss.; brother, Austin Lewis of Jonesboro; sister, Mary Frances Varnell of Michigan; grandchildren, Jon Hampton, Katie Hampton, Allen Hampton, Stacy McGowan, Marilyn Miller, David Woods, Kevin Woods, Jeanie Thomas, James Samue and Kim Hosman; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezekiel Hampton; and a great-grandchild, Tracy Jane Hampton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jimmy Young officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers will be Dennis Gregory, Jerry Turner, David Wolf, Willie Simpson, Gordon Harrison, James Lee, Joe Brewer and David Loggins.
Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10-11 in the funeral home.
