Carol Ann Hoerath was born on May 11, 1938, in Bourbon, Missouri, her father, Herman Hoerath, was 25, and her mother, Elsie Carter, was 22. She married Carl Eugene Rose in 1954 and they had five children together, Carolyn Sue, Carla Jean, Cheryl Kay, Cara Lynn, & Curtis Wayne. She then married Duane Eugene Gray on November 30, 1985. She died on March 18, 2023, in Lebanon, Indiana, at the age of 84. She had 15 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren, and 9 Great Great Grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her parents, husband Duane, daughters Sue & Carla, Grandson Adam. Brothers Herman & James (Moe) and Nephew Brett Simpson.
