Samuel Moon, 78, retired carriage manufacturer and once active in Columbus industrial circles, died yesterday at his home, 2208 Frambes Ave., following a two weeks' illness. His death almost was coincidental with the cancellation of the charter of the Scioto Buggy Co., Buttles Ave., which he and his brother, the late George S. Moon, owned when carriage manufacturing was one of the important industries of the ciy. The charter issued Nov. 24, 1885 was cancelled Thursday by Secretary of State Brown.(Part of Obituary).

Samuel was the son of Alva and Delilah Sewell Moon. He married Rhoda Lewis. They had two daughters, Lelia and Estella Moon (married Louis B. Weber).
