Mrs. Abreu came as a bride for many years and came to Rayado, New Mexico and has lived here ever since. In Rayado the Abreus were a highly respected family and accumulated a large estate. Mr. Abreu died fifteen years ago. Nine children survive the parents. Charles lives in Santa Fe, Mrs. D.A. Clouthier and Mrs. James P. Abreu in Springer, Mrs. Emilio Valdez who resides in Sweet Water Valley in Springer, Jesus, Ramon, and Miss Sofia live at home. Rayado is a station in old Santa Fe and a marker has been placed by the Daughters of the Revolution.
