"Michael Alan Cody, August 23, 1956 ~ March 13, 2023 (age 66)
"Mr. Michael Alan Cody, age 66, of Niceville, Florida passed away on March 13, 2023. Mr. Cody was born in Ohio to Clifford & Betty Burtrum Cody. After graduating from high school, Mr. Cody joined the U.S. Air Force where he proudly served for twenty-five years. While stationed at England Air Force Base, in Alexandria, Louisiana, he met and married the love of his life, Mary Gordey Cody. Mr. Cody ended his career at Eglin Air Force Base, in Fort Walton Beach. In his spare time, he enjoyed model airplanes, especially those from World War II. He also enjoyed gardening in his yard, fishing, and feeding and watching the birds and squirrels in the yard.
Mr. Cody is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Cody; and his grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years, Mary Cody; his son, Alan Cody; his father, Clifford "Cliff" Cody; brothers, John (Jackie) Cody and Terry (Darcy) Cody; and nieces & nephews, Jessica, Beck, Melissa, Shiloh, and Scott.
Following full military honors, Mr. Cody will lay in rest at Barrancas National Cemetery, in Pensacola, Florida."
