Mrs. Richard Blue died at her home in Bloomington, Illinois. She was taken with la grippe in the fall of 1897 and the disease culminated in kidney trouble.
Emily Louisa "Letitia" Cooper was born at Shawneetown, Illinois, and came to Bloomington with her parents in 1857. Miss Cooper was married to Mr. Richard Blue May 5, 1870, at McLean County. Three children were born to them, Belle, Percy and Lutie. The former is a stenographer in the office of General John McNulta, in Chicago.
Mrs. Blue attended the A.M.E. Church and was a woman of many virtues.
