Funeral services for Betty Ann Allison, 69, of Reeds Spring, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at First Christian Church in Kimberling City with Jerry Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Philibert Cemetery under direction of Stumpff Funeral Home-South of Kimberling City. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at the funeral home.

She died Feb. 1, 2006, at her home.

Mrs. Allison was born in St. Paul, Kan. the daughter of William and Mary Paynter. She married Wayne Allison in 1953 and they had made their home in the area since coming from Kansas City in 1971. She owned and operated Wonderland Child Care Center in Branson West for many years. She was a member of First Christian Church in Kimberling City where she was a Sunday school teacher and ladies Bible study teacher. She also helped in the childrenís ministry and in the hospitality area. She provided special music and spoke at many of the Womenís Retreats. She attended high school in Altamont, Kan. and attended Rockhurst Business School in Kansas City. She wrote and translated Braille books for the Institute of Logo-pedics for the Blind in Wichita, Kan. Before moving to the area she worked at First Federal Bank in Kansas City and Masterson Construction Company in Kansas City as a bookkeeper.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne, of Reeds Spring; two sons, Mike and wife Rickie, of Reeds Spring, and John and wife Torrena, of Reeds Spring; one daughter, Sandy Shepherd, of Kimberling City; two brothers, Clinton Paynter, of Hot Springs, Ark. and Steve Paynter, of Parsons, Kan.; four sisters, Mary Stewart, of Clinton, Norma Rooks, of Council Grove, Kan., Amy Adsit, of Osuguo, Kan. and Nola Ross, of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church Youth or Missions.
