Graveside service for Hobart Ray "Hobie" Jones, 78 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on January 28, 1945 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Emma Lena (Wolfe) Jones and Emmett Virgil Jones and passed away on March 15, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Janet Lea (Richardson) Jones on May 22, 1971 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mr. Jones was honorably discharged from the Air National Guard of Arkansas and the Reserve of the United States Air Force. He was owner and operator of Jones Heating and Air for over 50 years. He was an avid OU fan and collector of John Deere memorabilia. Hobie always had a smile and good word and was a man who loved his family and put them first above all.

Survivors are wife, Janet of the home; one daughter, Jennifer Jones of Sallisaw, OK; two sons, Stephen Jones and Nikki of Sallisaw, OK and Daryl Jones of Sallisaw, OK; grandchildren, Andie Jones of Sallisaw, OK, Cody Jones and Mercedes of Fort Smith, AR, Michael Jones of Sallisaw, OK and Derrick Jones of Sallisaw, OK; one great grandchild, Jamison Jones; one sister, Jeanice Blythe and Ross of Fort Smith, AR; his four-legged companion, Sadie of the home; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pauline Woolridge and Shirley Garwood; and four brothers, Eudean Jones, Jake Jones, Leroy Jones and Donald Jones.

Active Pallbearers will be Stephen Jones, Daryl Jones, David Jones, Cody Jones, Michael Jones, Derrick Jones and David Philpot.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Wolfe, Ross Blythe and his nephews.

Viewing will be 10 am – 6 pm Saturday and 2 – 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 3 -5 pm Sunday.
