Albert Boyd Akison, Jr. passed away peacefully as a believer in Christ on March 16, 2023 in Grove City, Ohio at the age of 90.

He is a graduate of Central High School. He then joined the Army, serving as a Military Policeman stationed at Fort Lee, Virginia. After his discharge, he had various jobs. He painted bridges in New York City, he worked at AT&T, the Pennsylvania Railroad, and General Motors. The majority of his working life was spent at American Electric Power, where he retired from in 1993.

In 1959, Albert met his wife on a blind date. They married 9 months later. They celebrated 62 years of marriage last year. They were blessed with three children. Albert was a loving husband and dad.

Albert never met a stranger. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and bird dog trainer. He was quite the sharp shooter, winning lots of trap shooting awards.

He took his family on lots of wonderful camping trips, traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada. He and Darlene were members of the Airstream Club. He was famous for his delicious Fish Fries at member gatherings.He was also known for sharing his big juicy tomatoes from his bountiful garden.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Frances Akison, sisters; Nadine Guglielmi and Dorothy Peris; son, Jamey and infant son.
