Pat was born March 17, 1935 in Evansville Minnesota to Florence (Braunschweig) and George O'Brien. Her grandparents Charles and Ida Braunschweig raised Pat on their farm in Ida Township. There she learned to love animals. Her horse, Prince, was a white stallion which she rode just about every day. Her favorite memory was listening and hanging out with the baby chicks when they arrived on the farm.
Pat married Robert (Bob) Miller in 1956 in Brooten Minnesota. They made the big move to Washington State in the 60's to pursue career opportunities where they stayed until their passing. They were married 49 years before Bob's passing in 2005. She is survived by her daughter Linda Johnson, her husband Don and 2 grandchildren, Kayla and Loren.
Pat worked for many years for the Longview Public Library until her retirement in 1996. In her free time, she and Bob enjoyed traveling and visiting extended family. Pat was an accomplished seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed pursuing her hobbies at home for many years. Her cats were an important part of her life. She was never without one or two at a time. As a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Longview, she participated in activities and her faith in Jesus was strong. Quite sure she is enjoying her time with Him now.
