Henry was the fourth of twelve children born to Caroline (Knocke) and Ernst Aldag. On Janaury 23, 1897 he married Minnie Belling in Appleton. They settled in Sheboygan and together they had two children: Milton Ernst Rudolph and Marguerite Caroline Sarah. Henry died in 1937 of a perforated ulcer.

Henry C. Aldag, 64, native resident of Sheboygan and a well known and highly respected businessman during his lifetime, died this morning at 1:30 o'clock at the Sheboygan Memorial hospital after under going an operation approximately two weeks ago.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Ballhorn Funeral Temple. The Rev. Karl Schulz will have charge of the services and burial will be made in the family lot at Lutheran cemetery. Friends may view the remains at the funeral temple beginning Saturday.

Mr. Aldag was born Nov. 16, 1872 here in Sheboygan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Aldag, Sr. He attended Trinity Lutheran school and also the public schools.
Early in his life he journeyed to Chicago to learn the tailoring business. Later he returned to Sheboygan where he formed a partnership with Ernst Krueger operating under the name Aldag Krueger Tailoring company at 530 S. Fourteenth street.
He was an active partner in this company for ten years after which he went into the tavern business locating at 1216 N. Eighth street. Since 1917 Mr. Aldag has owned and operated the West Side Bowling alleys at 1513 New Jersey avenue. It was during the years 1915 and 1916 that he served as deputy sheriff under Sheriff Ernst Krueter.

On Jan. 23, 1897 he married Miss Minnie Belling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Belling, Sr. of Appleton. She preceded him in death Jan. 27, 1927. A son, Milton, died July 12, 1927.
He made scores of friends during his many years in business and was well liked by those who knew him. He was also a member of the Hoaky Doak Club.
During the last ten years of his life much of his attention and all of his interest were centered on his little grand daughter, Patty Ann.
Making his home much of his time with his daughter and son-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. F. J. Clark, the grand child, Patty Ann, became his closest friend.
A brother and four sisters preceded him in death, and the survivors include the following persons: one daughter, Mrs. F. J. Clark and granddaughter Patty Ann Clark, two brothers, Otto and Edwin, both of Sheboygan, and four sisters, Mrs. Martin Burhop, Mrs. Rudolph Arndt, Mrs. Hugo Kaems, and Miss Hilda Aldag, all of this city.
