Nolah Pearl Brown, 84, of 701 17th Street, Vienna, died Saturday afternoon at the Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, WV.

She was born in Ritchie County, a daughter of the late Edgar Preston and Carrie F. Knight Modesitt. She was a member of the Summit Valley United Methodist Church and the Vienna Chapter No 151, Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lois Blair of Point Pleasant; three grandchildren, Douglas and Gregory Blair and Susan Saxon; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Earl Brown, in 1975.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Vaughan Funeral Home. The Rev. Perry Stewart will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Monday and until time of service Tuesday.
