Charles was the third of twelve children born to Harry Joseph Isherwood and Anna Marie (Karner) Isherwood.

Married Elaine R. Wittman on Nov. 28, 1935, in Stevens Point, WI.

Daughter - Patricia A. (Isherwood) Guth.

Services for Charles Isherwood, 72, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with the Rev. William Moeschler officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at Shuda Funeral Chapel. The BPO Elks, of which he was a member, will have a ritual at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The Knights of Columbus, of which he also was a member, will combine with a general rosary to be said at 8 p.m. A memorial has been established in lieu of flowers.

Mr. Isherwood, 2132 McCulloch St., died Friday at Wausau Hospital Center.

He was born Dec. 30, 1912, in Stevens Point, son of the late Harry and Anna Isherwood. He attended local schools and was graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School. He was married to Elaine Wittman Nov. 28, 1935, at St. Joseph's Church. She survives.

Mr. Isherwood was employed as a machine tender at Whitting-Plover Paper Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and St. Joseph's Holy Name Society.

Survivors besides his wife include one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Patricia) Guth, Sun Prairie; two grandchildren; three sisters, Florence and Mary Ann Isherwood, both of 1616 Fremont St., and Mrs. Grace Pankratz, Madison; and five brothers, Henry, San Diego, CA, James, Greendale, Thomas, Elm Grove, John, La Grange Park, IL, and William, Wauwatosa.

He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
