Mrs. Martha Jane Fletcher Delph, age 83, of Mount Airy went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mount Airy, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Delph was born on December 21, 1939, in Loudon County, Virginia to the late Isaac Walter and Ruth Loy Fletcher.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Delph was preceded in death by five sisters, Ruth "Bootsie" Fletcher Williams, Mary Ellen Fletcher Adrian, Hattie Fletcher Melton, Lucille Fletcher Osbourne, and Judy Fletcher Ely.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Preacher Tom (T.J.) Delph; two daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer Delph, Rachel Delph Bowman, and husband Brad; two sons and daughters-in-law, Reverend Steven Delph and wife Karen, Paul Delph, and wife Rebecca; eight grandchildren, Justin Delph and Erin; Adam Delph and Stephanie, Tyler Delph and Jordan, Autumn Pearman and Joey, Turner Delph and fiancée Maggie Collins, Cameron Bowman, Cole Bowman, Chase Bowman; three great-grandchildren, Gibson Delph, Maddux Delph, Chipper Delph, two twin great-grandchildren on the way, Hudson Wayne and Ellie Jane Delph; special life-long neighbor, Joyce Jones; along with several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church with Reverend David Tucker, Paul Delph, and Reverend Steven Delph officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at White Plains Baptist Church from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to White Plains Christian School, 614 Old Hwy 601, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
